Most of the concepts that are presented in Sefer Yetzirah appear in this image.  The 22 Hebrew Letters and 10 Numbers (Sefirot) are said to be the building blocks of Creation, It is not so different from the letters and numbers that represent the building blocks of matter in the Periodic Table of the Elements, and the subatomic particle Zoo.  Because this picture looks like the motherboard of a computer, and because it contains Mother Letters, I call this picture The Sefer Yetzirah Motherboard.  All the arrows in this picture and all the words or phrases that are marked with similar… more

When the Sefirot are presented in the Tanya (the classic text from the first Lubavitcher Rebbe) they are called 3 Mothers and 7 Doubles.  The 3 Mothers refer to the three higher Sefirot.  The Seven Doubles refer to the seven lower Sefirot.

However, the original source of the terms Three Mothers and Seven Doubles is the Sefer Yetzirah, where the 22 Hebrew Letters are presented as three groups - 3 Mothers, 7 Doubles and 12 Simples.

In this picture I joined both together and placed א in Keter (Crown), מ in Chochmah (Wisdom) and ש in Binah (Understanding) - these… more

This picture contains the first words of Sefer Yetzirah:  “With 32 Wondrous Paths of Wisdom, Yah -  YHVH and Hosts, the God of Israel, El Shadai, Merciful and Gracious, High and Exalted, Dwelling Forever and Holy is His Name, Heavenly and Holy is He - engraved and created His Universe with three Sefarim: with Sefer, with Sefar and with Sippur.”

In Hebrew, Sefer ספר is a book - comprised of letters forming words that tell a story.  The Hebrew letters are seen as the building blocks of Creation, in fact, the… more

"With 32 Mystical Paths of Wisdom God (Yah...) engraved and created His Universe with 3 ספרים Sefarim:  With Sefer ספר (letters), with Sefar ספר (numbers) and with סיפר Sippur (a story).

(These 32 Paths are:) 10 Sefirot of Nothingness and 22 Foundation Letters -
3 Mother Letters, 7 Double Letters and 12 Simple Letters."

The 32 Paths of Mystical Wisdom derive from the first chapter of Genesis, the story of Creation in which the Name of God אלהים (Elohim) is mentioned 32 times.  Elohim, a plural Name of God, is used in the Story of Creation because… more

This picture is influenced by the amazing art of M. C. Escher.  This design is also reminiscent of Celtic Knots.  It is based on the Sacred Geometry expressed in the order of the 3 groups of the 22 Hebrew Letters - 3 Mothers, 7 Doubles and 12 Simples - found in Sefer Yetzirah.

The design of this picture is based on the Geometry used in my picture 'The Holy Palace' and derives from the order of the 22 Hebrew Letters according to Sefer Yetzirah - 3 Mothers, 7 Doubles, and 12 Simple Letters.

There is a feeling here of spacial relativity I learned from the art of M. C. Escher.  It is hard to know which is the floor, or wall, or roof, of each 'chamber'.  Also, the central triangle can be seen as steps leading down to hidden chambers, which in turn, lead inward and downward to hidden depths.
